LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) -- The Bears have ruled nose tackle Eddie Goldman as doubtful to play in their season opener against the Rams on Sunday night.
Goldman suffered a knee injury during practice Monday and hasn't been on the field since. The 27-year-old Goldman opted out of last season amid the pandemic. He also dealt with back issues during the preseason.
Bears coach Matt Nagy on Friday was unsure about whether Goldman would travel with the team to Los Angeles. The Bears signed nose tackle Damion Square and defensive tackle Margus Hunt to the practice squad Tuesday, a day after Goldman suffered his injury. Either player must be activated by 3 p.m. CT Saturday in order to be on the active roster Sunday.

The Bears listed safety Eddie Jackson (wrist), edge rusher Khalil Mack (groin), edge rusher Robert Quinn (back), receiver Darnell Mooney (back), safety Tashaun Gipson (back) and long snapper Patrick Scales (ankle) as questionable. All players who have limited practice time during a game week must be listed with a game designation.
Kickoff between the Bears and Rams comes at 7:20 p.m. CT from SoFi Stadium on Sunday.
