Charlie Roumeliotis: Connor Bedard is making an early impression on his Blackhawks teammates

(670 The Score) It hasn’t taken 17-year-old Blackhawks phenom Connor Bedard long to make a strong initial impression on his teammates since he was selected at No. 1 overall in the NHL Draft on June 28.

“We talk about how special of a kid he is on the ice,” Charlie Roumeliotis of NBC Sports Chicago said on the Mully & Haugh Show on Friday morning. “But then when you couple that with the fact he says all the right things to the media, he leads by example off the ice, he’s one of the hardest-working guys in the room. Like Oliver Moore got drafted (by the Blackhawks) with Connor last week in the first round, and he’s like, ‘His work ethic is already rubbing off on me.’ They haven’t even been together for a week, and you already have guys around Connor just taking note of him and following his example. I really can’t think of a better player for the Blackhawks to have fall into their laps as they usher in a new core.”
