Cubs unveil manager David Ross' coaching staff for 2023 season

(670 The Score) The Cubs on Tuesday revealed manager David Ross’ coaching staff for the 2023 season, and it will feature three new faces.

As previously reported, Dustin Kelly will take over as the new hitting coach, replacing Greg Brown. Kelly had previously been the minor league hitting coordinator in the organization.

Jim Adduci has been hired as the assistant hitting coach/game planning, while Alex Smith has been added as a major league coach with a focus on data development and process.

Beyond those three new members, the Cubs will return 11 coaches from the staff in 2022: bench coach Andy Green, third-base coach Willie Harris, pitching coach Tommy Hottovy, first-base coach Mike Napoli, bullpen coach Chris Young, assistant pitching coach Daniel Moskos, assistant hitting coach Johnny Washington, catching coach/game strategy Craig Driver, assistant hitting coach Juan Cabreja (previously a staff assistant), major league coach Jonathan Mota (previously a staff assistant) and bullpen catcher Garrett Lloyd.
