About Brenda: “It’s fair to say the media is in my blood. My experience includes work as a journalist for newspapers and magazines, public relations and marketing, and several years as a television producer for the Empire Sports Network, which was broadcast nationwide. In addition, I was the only female host on Empire’s sister all-sports radio station. For the last 10 years, I’ve had the pleasure of working in the marketing and advertising department here at Entercom Buffalo, a radio group with seven stations that are as diverse as our listening audience. I’ve had the privilege of working with businesses of all sizes throughout Western New York. As theradio business has evolved, we now have even more tools—creative radio commercials, digital assets such as streaming radio, display ads, video pre-roll, texting—to help raise awareness and branding for our clients. When those tools are combined with iconic air personalities, we can build campaigns that are unrivaled in local marketing. When clients tell me about the success they’ve enjoyed as a direct result of what we created here at Entercom, the satisfaction level makes coming to work fun and worthwhile. In addition to my sales and marketing work, I host “Brenda’s Bites,” a weekly show focusing on the local restaurant scene, interviews with owners, chefs, festival organizers and area farmers.
