
Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The developers of Amherst's Station Twelve shopping plaza, which remains mostly empty, are planning more construction at the site. According to Business First, WS Development has hired a construction company and asked the town for an expedited review of building permits. Construction is expected to cost $15 million for the two buildings. Only two businesses have opened at the plaza since WS Development took over in 2017, those being Whole Foods and furniture store At Home.
The winners at this past weekend's Taste of Buffalo have been selected. The Chair's Choice award went to Allentown's El Coquito. Roaming Bison on Hertel Avenue took home Rookie of the Year while Carruba's Chicken Pit was named best veteran restaurant. Best Overall Item went to Resurgence Brewing Company for their Barley Brussels.
Oliver's Restaurant on Delaware was recently recognized by Wine Spectator with the magazine's Best of Award of Excellence as one of the world's top wine destinations. The award is given to restaurants that offer a wide variety of wines from different regions.
Gas prices in Buffalo dropped 1 cent for a second week in a row, averaging $3.18 per gallon.
