Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Deputies working at the Erie County Holding Center and Erie County Correctional Facility were remembered by some thoughtful Buffalo Bills players on Thanksgiving.

Sheriff John Garcia says 150 meals were donated by players to those working Thursday.

Garcia says Gabe Davis, Jordan Poyer Matt Milano, Tre White, Ike Boettiger, Spencer Brown & Matt Barkley had the meals sent to employees as they took on the Lions. "I just want to say thank you for appreciating the work that those do while we're still we're enjoying Thanksgiving," says Garcia.

Garcia says there's a great relationship with the office and the Bills. He says it was warming to everybody. "We've had that defund the police movement and so forth over the last few years and for people to appreciate the hard working men and women that are doing a very difficult job in the correctional facilities, it was greatly appreciated," says Garcia.
