Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Another Buffalo Catholic Diocese property is up for sale, as the Newman Center at SUNY Buffalo State has been placed on the market.
The Newman Center has housed the Catholic campus ministry of Buffalo State for decades. The 5,068 square-foot, brick two-story structure is believed to have been built in the 1940s, with a rear addition added in the 1970s.
The ground floor and the upper level served as offices and a residence for the campus ministry director. The lower level was converted to a chapel.
The asking price for the Newman Center is set at $649,000.
This is the third diocesan property recently put up for sale. The Catholic Center in Downtown Buffalo and the Christ the King Seminary in East Aurora have already been placed on the block.
