BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul said she believes the women who have accused Governor Andrew Cuomo of sexual harassment, but stopped short of calling on Cuomo to resign in the wake of the 168-page report from the state attorney general.
"Sexual harassment is unacceptable in any workplace, and certainly not in public service," Hochul said in a statement. "The AG's investigation has documented repulsive and unlawful behavior by the Governor towards multiple women...No one is above the law."
Should Governor Andrew Cuomo resign, Hochul would become the Acting Governor. Hochul said it would not be appropriate to comment further on the process due to that reason.
