Orchard Park, N.Y. (WBEN) - The question every Buffalo Bills fan asks themselves as the preseason approaches has been answered.
Head coach Sean McDermott announced Thursday morning that quarterback Josh Allen will play in the Bills' preseason opener Saturday against the Chicago Bears.
McDermott praised Allen's training camp performance during his final press conference Thursday at St. John Fisher University, saying the quarterback has been "very focused, when you look at his throws and accuracy and what not. He's been very accurate."
It is expected for Allen and other starters to play about a quarter of action against a number of Bears starters, who are also expected to play for the first 15 minutes of game action.
As for the Bears, they will also play quarterback Caleb Williams, who will make his preseason debut after being the first overall pick of Chicago in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Kickoff on Saturday is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park.
