Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - Capping off a months-long turbulent period internally at Shea's Performing Arts Center in Buffalo, the organization's board of trustees announced late Friday Michael Murphy is out as president after six years. A national search will soon begin to find a new president.

Earlier this year, Murphy accepted a new role with the organization that expanded his work with the board. The adjustment was made following allegations of a toxic workplace under Murphy's leadership.

The board will form a committee to open a national search for Murphy’s successor. The board also plans to announce the addition of several new trustees following its annual meeting Oct. 29.
