Cheektowaga, N.Y. (WBEN) - The operator of Holiday Twin Rinks in Cheektowaga is offering to cover all medical expenses resulting from last week's carbon monoxide incident, in which more than 100 people were treated for symptoms of exposure.

In a post on Facebook, rink operator Mark Grundtisch stated, "We have committed to cover all medical expenses incurred."

Following the incident that led patrons to seek treatment at area hospitals, National Fuel and the Town of Cheektowaga have investigated the situation and determined a faulty heating appliance was to blame, along with faulty carbon monoxide detectors.

"We can only move forward and fix the air quality issues we have been working through with the help of the Town of Cheektowaga, National Fuel, and private contractors," Grundtisch said.

"Through these multiple ongoing improvements, we will leave this challenging situation as a BETTER company and a safer place for our customers to enjoy the great sport of hockey."
