Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - One person has been arrested Wednesday morning following a triple stabbing at Buffalo Psychiatric Center on Forest Avenue, according to the Buffalo Police Department.

The incident occurred just after 9 a.m. ET on Wednesday when a male patient, 34-year-old Calvin Hoskins, attacked three employees of the Psych Center - two men and one woman - with a knife. The attack was allegedly unprovoked.

The first male, 45, sustained wounds to his chest and arm, while the second male, 55, sustained wounds to his chest and abdomen, and the female, 52, sustained wounds to her lower back and shoulder. Authorities say injuries to one of the male victims appear to be serious.

All three were taken to Erie County Medical Center, where they are considered to be in stable condition.

Hoskins is facing three counts of Assault in the First Degree and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, upon his arraignment in Buffalo City Court.

According to Buffalo Police's Chief of Detectives Craig Macy, the area of the complex where the incident took place is not a guarded area, as far as having people go through metal detectors to detect any possible weapons.

Macy says Hoskins is a resident of the facility.
