Orchard Park, N.Y. (WBEN) Country superstar Garth Brooks makes his way to Western New York this weekend. It's been 7 years since his last appearance in Buffalo.
The highly anticipated concert, at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, is set for 7pm Saturday, July 23.
Erie County Sheriff John Garcia said traffic patterns for the concert will be similar to those for Buffalo Bills’ home games.
"A lot of people are unfamiliar with the traffic patterns. Many will be coming in from out of town. I'm asking everyone attending to be patient and courteous to other drivers and check the stadium map to identify the best lot and gate to enter for your seat, before you go," said Sheriff Garcia.
Stadium Lots
All stadium lots open at 5:00 p.m., and drivers are asked not to park on the shoulder of the roadways for pedestrian safety.
Abbott Road
The section of Abbott Road in front of the stadium closes to north and southbound traffic at 4:00 p.m.;
The road will remain closed until after the concert;
Lots 2, 3, Camper lot, and Bus & Limo lots are accessible from Rte. 20a;
Lots 4 and 6 are accessible from Rte. 20.
Route 20a (Big Tree Road)
Shortly before the conclusion of the concert, Rte. 20a from Fieldhouse Drive will be two-lane, one-way traffic headed eastbound. Vehicles west of Fieldhouse Dr. can only travel westbound.

"Keep in mind," Sheriff Garcia said, "that everybody pretty much arrives and leaves at the same time. Be prepared for delays," he said. Garcia called it a good problem that we're having concerts again. "It's a huge concert and a beautiful day."

The sun will set around 8:45pm and temps will drop to the mid to upper 70's toward the end of the concert and it's going to be muggy," said Mentkowski.
Garth Brooks is the number one selling solo artist in U.S. history with 157 million records sold.
