Widow of fallen firefighter files notice of claim against city, fire department

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The widow of fallen Buffalo firefighter Jason Arno has filed a notice of claim against the City of Buffalo and the fire department.

The claim, dated April 20, was filed by Sarah-Liz Tierney, who is represented by the law firm Gibson, McCaskill and Crosby in Buffalo.

Arno died while battling a fierce fire at 745 Main Street in downtown Buffalo March 1.

Among the losses listed in the claim are pain and suffering, wrongful death, lost wages and funeral expenses.
