LI man, 53, resists arrest after domestic dispute: police

GREAT NECK, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — A 53-year-old Long Island man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly attacked officers responding to a domestic disturbance.

Officers responded around 5:40 p.m. to an apartment on Middle Neck Road in Great Neck to investigate a domestic incident.

After the parties were separated by the police, Hal Lyman allegedly "became combative" and refused to obey their orders.

Lyman was taken into custody following a "struggle," police said.

Officers sustained injuries during the altercation with Lyman.

Lyman is charged with two counts of second-degree assault, second-degree of obstructing a governmental administration and resisting arrest. He is due to be arraigned Wednesday.
