NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The daughter of the man killed inside a Brooklyn apartment Thursday has been arrested and charged with murder, police said.

Nikki Secondino, 22, is also charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon after she allegedly stabbed her 61-year-old father, Carlo, to death and critically wounded her 19-year-old sister.

Officers responded to a 911 call reporting an assault at a second-floor apartment on 17th Avenue, between 82nd and 83rd streets, in Bensonhurst just after 5:50 a.m. and found Nikki and the two other victims.

The man suffered mortal stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 19-year-old woman was rushed to Maimonides Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Nikki was transported to NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn and is expected to survive. It wasn't immediately clear whether she stabbed herself or was attacked by someone else.

Sources told the Daily News that she initially told police that two intruders stormed the apartment, stabbed them and fled the scene.

Cops then began looking for the culprits before Nikki's story fell apart and she became a suspect.

Before police confirmed Nikki's arrest, a neighbor who told 1010 WINS she called police after hearing screaming said that she was concerned about domestic troubles next door.

"I would say since May there's been a lot of like fights and usually late in the evening," she said.

The 19-year-old victim has not been identified at this time.

An investigation is ongoing.
