
NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Officials launched an investigation into the shooting death of a 21-year-old man in the Bronx early Tuesday morning, according to authorities.

Just after 1 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 1770 Grand Concourse, in the Mount Hope neighborhood.
Upon arrival, officers were informed that a 21-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his torso, and the victim was transported, via private means, to Bronx Care Health System, where he was pronounced dead.
There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
The identity of the victim is pending proper family notification.
