NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Three people are in critical condition after a drunk driver lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a trio of pedestrians on a Queens sidewalk early Saturday, authorities said.

The crash happened around 4:20 a.m. at 86th Street and Northern Boulevard in Jackson Heights when the 23-year-old driver jumped the curb in a BMW hatchback, police said.
Three men, ages 25, 28 and 32, were hit by the driver. EMS workers transported the victims to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition, officials said.
Police arrested the driver, who remained on the scene, on DWI charges.
