
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man was fatally struck by a train while crossing subway tracks in Manhattan on Sunday morning, police said.
The 31-year-old was at the Lexington Avenue and East 51st Street 6 train station around 8:30 a.m. when he came in contact with the third rail while crossing the subway tracks, authorities said.
While still in the tracks, a train pulled in and hit him, according to officials.
Cops said it is unclear why they man was crossing the tracks. The investigation remains ongoing.
