NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Brooklyn man was arrested Monday morning for pushing a person onto the subway tracks Friday afternoon, police said.

The 41-year-old Bushwick man, Lamale McRae, allegedly pushed the victim onto the subway tracks of the Myrtle–Wyckoff Avenues subway station just before 3 p.m., according to police.

The 32-year-old victim did not come in contact with the third rail and was able to get off the tracks before a train arrived, according to authorities.

EMS treated the man at the station.

McRae was charged with attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment and harassment.

The incident comes amid several recent attacks in the subway, including a 62-year-old falling onto the tracks of a Bronx station after being punched.
