He was among a group of teens gathered outside of a grocery store at 63rd Street and 20th Avenue around 1 p.m. when shots rang out.

A witness said he heard five shots—"boom, boom, boom"—and then saw the teens running.

Maulonou was shot in the back and ran a half-block before collapsing onto the street, where he was found by EMS.

It's unclear if he was intended target of the shooting.

No arrests had been reported as of Tuesday as the investigation continued.
