
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A subway rider was slashed multiple times by a man who made an anti-Asian remark, police said Thursday as they released images of a suspect.

The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating Tuesday afternoon’s assault on a southbound F train in Downtown Brooklyn.
The 39-year-old victim and his attacker got into an argument just before 3 p.m., and the latter made an anti-Asian remark, police said.
The dispute turned physical, and the assailant whipped out a knife and slashed the victim across his chest and the back of his neck, according to police.
The slasher fled the train at the York Street station. Police believe the suspect is about 25 years old.
The victim was treated for his injuries at Brooklyn Hospital Center.
