NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — The beloved bumper cars on ice are returning to Bryant Park this month.
Visitors at the Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park can enjoy the popular Bumper Cars on Ice activity from Jan. 14 through Feb. 28.
Tickets are now on sale, starting at $20, and can be reserved at wintervillage.org.
According to Bryant Park, the cars will be open from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.
Rides will last 10 minutes and will occur within a one-hour booking window on a first-come, first-served basis.
Bryant Park notes that riders must be at least 7 as the bumper cars are only for single riders; only one person is allowed per car and children are not permitted to sit on a parent’s lap.
There are also height and weight restrictions that mandate riders be at least 42” tall and under 300 lbs.
As COVID-19 cases continue to rise throughout New York City, the park is requiring all riders wear masks while participating.
This year, the Winter Village is also planning to host special late-night rides. Those dates have yet to be announced.
