NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A stranger pushed a commuter onto the subway tracks unprovoked at a Bushwick station on Friday, according to police.

The suspect shoved the person onto the tracks just before 3 p.m. at the Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues station, officials said.

The victim did not come in contact with the third rail and was able to get off the tracks before a train arrived, according to authorities.

EMS treated the victim at the station.

Police described the attacker as a man in his 20s.

The incident comes amid a spate of subway attacks, including one on Thursday in which a 29-year-old man was attacked with a sword in a Lower Manhattan station.
