Federal prosecutors believe Dwayne Pulliam murdered his customer Lori Lee Campbell who he suspected was stealing from him in Patterson, New York in late March.

The criminal complaint filed against Pulliam relies on an anonymous co-conspirator who said Pulliam threatened to kill him if he didn’t help dispose of Campbell’s body.

The informant told the FBI that the two conspirators loaded her corpse into Pulliam’s car and drove to Pulliam’s mother’s house in North Carolina. There they covered her body in lime and buried her in a shallow grave.

When exposed to water, lime is highly caustic and corrodes organic material.

Prosecutors charged Pulliam with committing murder to further interstate narcotics business and conspiracy to distribute 28 grams or more of crack cocaine.

A New York district court judge ordered Pulliam be held without bail. If found guilty, he faces life in prison.
