
NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – Police are reportedly investigating the death of a 1-year-old boy as suspicious after he was found unresponsive in his Bronx home on Thursday afternoon.
Officers responding to a 911 call of an unconscious child at an apartment in the Webster Houses in Morrisania around 3 p.m. found the boy unconscious in a bedroom, police said Friday.

EMS rushed the boy, Legacy Beauford, from his E. 169th Street apartment to Bronx Care Health System, where he was pronounced dead.
Law enforcement sources told the New York Post that the boy had visible bruises, but it’s unclear how he got them.
The child’s mother and boyfriend called 911 after waking up and finding him unconscious, according to the report.
No arrests have been reported.
Police said the medical examiner will determine the boy’s cause of death.
