Fake cops push man against car in Bronx robbery, flee in SUV with Florida plates

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- A pair of fake cops pushed a man against a car and robbed him in the Bronx, police said Wednesday as they searched for the suspects.

The two men targeted the 41-year-old victim at W. Kingsbridge Road and Reservoir Avenue in Kingsbridge Heights on the morning of Feb. 8, according to police.

The pair pushed the victim against a car while identifying themselves as police officers, police said.

The men went through the victim’s pockets and stole his wallet, ID, keys and cellphone, according to police.

They then fled in a black Honda CRV with Florida plates, police said.

The victim was not injured.
