NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An off-duty FDNY firefighter accused of slamming his wife to the ground during a dispute at their Staten Island home was arrested Tuesday evening.

Tyler Krute, 27, is charged with assault and harassment after police said he attacked his 25-year-old wife at their home in Tottenville around 5 p.m.
According to NYPD, Krute was leaving the home after an argument when his wife grabbed him by the arm. He proceeded to then slam her body into the wall and then the ground.
The assault continued and Krute allegedly threatened to “kill” his wife, police added.
When authorities arrived on the scene, the victim complained of pain in her neck and stomach area, but she was not hospitalized.
Krute was previously charged with felony assault when he was 19-years-old, after allegedly stabbing a family member, according to a report from the Daily News.
A year after that incident, he was reportedly charged with DWI and leaving the scene of an accident in Brooklyn.
