The truck collided with a pole at 18th and McDonald avenues in Borough Park around 3:45 a.m.
The 44-year-old driver suffered a medical episode, causing the truck to collide with a pillar supporting the elevated 18th Avenue station, News 12 reported.
The driver was taken to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition, while the passenger was hospitalized with a leg injury, police said.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and no one else was injured.
