NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- For the 47th year in a row, Macy's will set off an extravagant display of fireworks along the East River. Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks will kick off at 8 p.m. Eastern. 1010 WINS is a media sponsor.
The show will introduce a mile-long red, white & blue flag made from strobing shells. The show will also honor Tina Turner, the late "Queen of Rock 'n Roll," with a glimmering cascade called the "Golden Mile." In total, 60,000 shells will be launched from five barges lined up near Midtown Manhattan.

Some of these locations may close due to the crowd sizes, and people will be redirected along FDR Boulevard to open access points. Although these points are currently the exact same as last year's, they're subject to change.
"Paired with a score featuring American classics, this year’s celebration will honor trailblazers that have forged our past, present and future," said Will Coss, the fireworks display's executive producer. He went on to promise that the festivities would be "nothing short of showstopping."
For people watching the fireworks show live, the score is only available on 1010 WINS, either on radio or online. The show will also be broadcast on NBC and streamed on Peacock.
