MEDFORD, N.Y. (WCBS 880) -- Suffolk County Police arrested a man for sexually abusing two boys at a Long Island park, officials announced Thursday.
Two boys were at the Gordon Heights Children’s Park in Medford just before 7 p.m. on Nov. 2 when they saw a man who had sexually abused them several weeks prior, authorities said.
The boys notified a family member who responded to the park and called police. This was the first time police were notified of the incident, which occurred on Oct. 7, officials said.
Following an investigation, Rashawn Brinkley, 27, was charged by special victims detectives with two counts of sexual abuse and two counts of acting in a manner to injure a child.
Detectives are asking anyone who may have information about Brinkley or believes they may be a victim to call the Special Victims Section at 631-852-6531.
