TURNERSVILLE, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- A man was arrested following a fatal shooting at a New Jersey apartment complex parking lot Wednesday morning, authorities said.
The shooting happened at The Birches apartment complex located on Fries Mill Road in Turnersville at about 11 a.m., the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office said.
One man was shot and killed and police arrested a suspect but it additional details remain unknown.
"Our Police Department is currently conducting an active investigation in the area / parking lot of the Birches Apartments by the Municipal Golf Course. One suspect is in custody," Washington Township Police Department wrote on Facebook. "There is no need for alarm. The area has been deemed safe. Any additional details will be made available by the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office."
Officials are investigating what led up to the shooting.
