NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man stole a woman's eyeglasses as he beat her on a Brooklyn subway platform in an unprovoked attack, police said Wednesday as they released an image of the suspect.

The 43-year-old victim was standing on a platform at the Avenue I station in Midwood at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday when the man came up and punched her in the head repeatedly.
During the assault, the man stole the woman’s eyeglasses and cellphone, police said.
The suspect fled the station on foot, while the victim refused medical attention at the scene.
