NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man rambling about Taylor Swift crashed his car into her Tribeca apartment building and tried to rip out an intercom Thursday before he was arrested, police said.

The man drove the wrong way down Franklin Street around 5 a.m. and reversed into the building and a fire hydrant, according to police, who said the info was preliminary.
The man also tried to tear out the building’s intercom in a bid to gain access, but he was unsuccessful, police said.
Photos from TMZ show wires sticking out of the busted intercom near the entrance to the building, where Swift has a penthouse.
The drunken man told police he wasn’t leaving the area until he met with Swift, according to TMZ sources.
It's unclear if the 32-year-old pop star was home at the time.
The man was arrested by police across the street. He was transported to an area hospital with charges pending, police said.
It's not the first time a man has tried to get into Swift's Tribeca home. Last summer, a 28-year-old Nebraska man who reportedly told police he was "in love" with Swift was arrested in the entrance of her building.
