Officers found the victim, 24-year-old Stephaun Stewart, with a gunshot wound to his midsection at 3559 Holland Avenue around 1:30 p.m., police said.
He was taken to Jacobi Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Stewart was in line to buy coffee at Dunkin’ on E. Gunhill Road when a woman got upset because Stewart was allegedly standing too close to her, The Daily News reported.

Store employees told The Daily News that the woman told Stewart her boyfriend was outside and that Stewart didn’t say anything to her.
Stewart was shot two blocks away and police believe the woman’s boyfriend is responsible.
