NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- A man forced a woman out of a Queens subway station, through the streets and into an apartment lobby, where he exposed himself to her before she managed to escape, police said Tuesday amid a search for the man.

The NYPD released surveillance video of a suspect, believed to be about 30 years old, walking inside the apartment building around the time of the attack last Thursday morning in Flushing.

The 22-year-old woman was inside of the Flushing–Main Street subway station at 9:45 a.m. when the man came up and grabbed her by the arm, police said.

The man forced her up the subway steps, out of the station, and down Main Street towards Kissena Boulevard, according to police.

He then led the woman into 41-25 Kissena Blvd., where he forcibly restrained her, exposed his penis and attempted a criminal sex act, police said.

The woman resisted and was able to break free and flee the location. She then reported the attack to police.

The woman was not physically injured and refused medical attention at the scene, according to police.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
