NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for two armed suspects sought in connection with a jewelry robbery on a Brooklyn street last week.
At 1 p.m. on Monday, May 16, officials said two suspects exited a white Acura ILX at the intersection of West 24th St. and Mermaid Ave. and proceeded on foot to the front of 2328 Mermaid Ave., where they approached a 48-year-old man.

According to authorities, both suspects produced handguns and demanded the victim’s property.
The victim surrendered $1,100, a ring valued at $4,500, a chain valued at $3,000, and a watch valued at $3,500, the NYPD said.
As the suspects fled back to the white Acura ILX one of them discharged a round, police said.
The victim was not struck and no property damage was reported.
