
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 29-year-old man was hit over the head multiple times with a glass bottle at an East Village subway station Monday during a dispute with a stranger, authorities said.
The assault happened just before 2 .m. on the southbound L train platform at the East 14th St. and 1st Ave. subway station, police said.
The victim and the suspect got into a verbal dispute that turned physical. The man hit the victim several times with a glass bottle and then fled the scene, according to officials.
Emergency responders transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.

Cops said the person they are searching for is described as having a dark complexion, approximately in his 30's, 5'7' tall, 170lbs with black short hair and facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, red and black shirt, multi-color pants, red under shorts with a gray bookbag.
