Man punched in face, slashed in Lower Manhattan park: cops

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are looking for a thief who punched a man in the face and slashed him in the arm at a Lower Manhattan park Monday.

The 24-year-old victim was at Sara D. Roosevelt Park, opposite 68A Forsyth St. around 1 p.m. when the suspect approached him, punched him and slashed him multiple times on the arm with an unknown object, police said.

Cops said the perp then fled the park on a bike and headed westbound on Hester Street.

The victim was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.
