Man punches boy in face while making anti-Mexican remarks in Brooklyn subway: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man punched a 14-year-old boy in the face while spewing anti-Mexican statements on a Brooklyn subway train, police said Tuesday.

The NYPD released video of a suspect as the department’s Hate Crime Task Force investigated Monday morning’s attack.

Police said the boy was riding a northbound 4 train with two family members around 7:15 a.m. when his attacker sat next to him.

As the train was arriving at the Atlantic Avenue–Barclays Center station, the man made anti-Mexican statements to the family and then punched the boy in the face.

The boy suffered a small laceration to his nose.

The suspect was last seen fleeing the train car, police said.
