Man stabbed during cell phone robbery on Brooklyn train

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 20-year-old man was stabbed during a cell phone robbery on a Brooklyn train Tuesday morning, police said.

It happened on a southbound 2 train as it approached the Winthrop Street Station around 5:15 a.m.

Cops said two teenagers in all black approached him, stabbed him in the right side and the left arm and stole his cellphone.

The teens then ran off in an unknown direction.

The man was taken to Kings County Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation is ongoing.
