VIDEO: Man stabbed in chest, teen threatened with knife in Manhattan crime spree; 2 sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking to identify two suspects in connection to a stabbing and attempted robbery that happened less than an hour apart in Manhattan last week, authorities said.

The first incident occurred at approximately 3:40 p.m. on Friday, May 13, in the vicinity of East 25th Street and FDR Drive in Peter Cooper Village, officials said.

According to police, a 16-year-old boy walking at the location when he was approached by two suspects. One suspect displayed a knife and demanded property. The suspects then punched the victim in the head and attempted to remove his shoes, cops said.

The teen boy was able to hold onto his property while the suspects fled the location.

The victim sustained minor injuries and did not require medical attention on scene.

The second incident happened less than an hour later at about 4:35 p.m. in front of 400 East 23rd St., cops said.

Officials said a 20-year-old man was engaged with the two suspects when one of them displayed a knife and stabbed him in the chest.

The suspects fled southbound on First Avenue.

EMS transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.
