Man with autism beaten with plank in Brooklyn lobby: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 33-year-old man with autism was beaten with a wooden plank in a Brooklyn lobby last Monday, police said Tuesday as they released video of the suspect wanted.

According to police, around 6:30 p.m., an unidentified man approached the victim, who was seated inside the lobby of a building on York and Gold streets, and began to strike him multiple times with a plank.

The victim was taken to Brooklyn Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
