Man with bat and pit bull goes on rampage in Harlem restaurant, chokes woman, stabs 2 staff

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man who attacked the staff of a Harlem restaurant with a baseball bat, a pit bull and a sharp object on Friday.

The man entered Teddy’s Bar and Grill on 2nd Avenue near East 112th Street around 11:30 p.m. and started choking a 29-year-old woman with the bat unprovoked, officials said.

Two men working at the restaurant attempted to intervene, but the man stabbed each of them with an unknown object, according to authorities.

A 35-year-old man was stabbed in the chest and back and a 31-year-old man was stabbed in the back.

The man fled before law enforcement arrived.

EMS rushed the 35-year-old to Mt. Sinai Morningside and the 31-year-old to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, both in stable condition.

The woman refused medical attention on the scene.
