NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking to identify a suspect using a cane who robbed a woman at knifepoint inside a subway station in Midtown last week, authorities said.
The robbery happened just before 7 p.m., on Friday, November 11, inside of the 7th Avenue/West 53rd Street station, the NYPD said.
According to police, a 24-year-old woman was walking down the stairs to enter the station when the suspect, who was walking up the stairs displayed a knife and demanded her cell phone.
The suspect is described as a man approximately in his 30s. He was last seen wearing a black and white hooded bubble jacket and white pants. He was also walking with a cane, officials said.
