The 22-year-old woman was attacked when she got out of her car at Park Avenue and E. 117th Street around 7 p.m. last Friday.

As she exited the vehicle, the three men came up and one of them flashed a gun at her, police said.

The first man then handed the gun to a second man, who struck the woman on the left side of her head with the firearm, according to police.

The men then hammered the woman’s vehicle repeatedly with bats while two children were inside of it, police said.

The woman was able to drive away to a safe location, and the men fled the area, according to police.

The children were not injured. The woman suffered swelling and bruising; she was treated at the scene by EMS.

Police said the woman’s vehicle had “substantial damage.”

It’s unclear if the woman had any interaction with her attackers before the assault.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
