MTA conductor beaten in unprovoked attack at Brooklyn subway station, suspect sought

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – An on-duty MTA conductor was beaten in an unprovoked attack at a Brooklyn subway station last week, police said Thursday as they searched for a suspect.

The 33-year-old conductor was on an A-line train at the Grant Avenue station in Cypress Hills around 3:50 a.m. last Wednesday when a man came up to him, police said.

The man punched the conductor in the face multiple times in what police called an unprovoked attack.

The conductor was transported by EMS to Brookdale Hospital for treatment.

His assailant fled the station. Police said video shows the suspect on a platform.
