Police release new photos of suspects after girl, 16, shot in head at Brooklyn park

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Officials on Monday released new images of three suspects wanted for questioning after a 16-year-old girl was shot in the head by a stray bullet at a Brooklyn park on Friday.

Just after 3 p.m on October 1, 2021, Kyla-Simone Sobers-Batties was struck in the head while sitting inside of Nicholas Naquan Heyward Jr. Park, opposite 153 Wyckoff Street in the Boerum Hill neighborhood, the NYPD said.

EMS rushed the victim to New York Presbyterian-Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

Police released photos of the three men sought, taken from the vicinity of the incident location, just after the shooting had occurred, authorities said.

According to police, the three men fled the scene on CitiBikes.
