NEW JERSEY (WCBS 880) — A New Jersey man admitted in federal court to his involvement to a string of 2019 armed robberies across multiple counties in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced Tuesday.

The Trenton man, 44-year-old Omar Feliciano-Estremera, pleaded guilty to the robberies which he allegedly committed with a now-deceased co-conspirator Gabriel Lopez, court documents said.
Feliciano-Estremera and Lopez robbed several businesses in Mercer and Union counties in New Jersey and Bucks County in Pennsylvania between May and June 2019. Feliciano-Estremera acted as the getaway driver for Lopez who would enter the business with a gun and demand money from workers at the cash register before fleeing with Feliciano-Estremera, authorities said.
During one of the robberies in Union County, officials said Lopez shot at passing witnesses before he was picked up by Felicano-Estremera.
Feliciano-Estremera admitted to committing eight robberies with Lopez as well as aiding and abetting three robberies. He was charged with four robbery counts each carrying a maximum of 20 years in prison and 1 aiding and abetting count which carries a maximum of life in prison.
Feliciano-Estremera is scheduled to be sentenced July 18.
