MOUNT ARLINGTON, N.J. (WCBS 880) — Two New Jersey men were arrested last week after investigators busted them with fentanyl, $10,000 in cash and a loaded handgun.
Maurice “Tony” Goodgame and Matthew Canfield were arrested Wednesday during an investigation conducted by the Narcotics Task Force and the Mount Arlington Police Department, according to Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll.
Goodgame, 26, of Landing, was charged with several drug, weapon and money laundering offenses. He is being held at the Morris County Correctional Facility.
During the investigation, authorities raided a Mount Arlington location where the men were staying. There, officers uncovered a .45 caliber handgun loaded with hollow-point bullets, fentanyl pills and around $10,000 in cash.
Carroll noted that Goodgame was enrolled in a court-ordered drug program at the time of his arrest.
Canfield, 18, of Mount Arlington, was issued a summons for third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Goodgame previously made headlines in early 2020 for causing serious injury to a Hopatcong woman when she fell out of his car after she chased him for stealing money from her.
